San Miguel Horses

Granja Las Animas is a beautiful horse ranch located 10 minutes from San Miguel de Allende Centro in the beautiful Rio Laja River Basin. Owner, Lucinda Johnson, moved to San Miguel in 1999 from Northern California. The ranch consists of a full size dressage arena, a 20 meter walled in round pen for training young horses and boarding facilities for 15 horses. There are miles of beautiful trails surrounding the ranch. Lucinda is also involved in rescuing abandoned or abused horses and turning them into useful riding horses.

Currently she has a small breeding operation with several purebred Arabian and Lusitano mares. She also has a Purebred Lusitano Stallion at Stud - see link to his page on the left.
